Pap smear helps to detect abnormal cells in your cervix, which can cause different types of cancer of the reproductive organs. This cancer can cause vaginal bleeding after intercourse, between periods or after menopause, bloody and watery vaginal discharge that may be heavy and have a foul odor, or pelvic pain.
